                         TO OUR BELOVED CANARA ALUMNI

CANARA  ALUMNI- these very words bring about a sense of pride and belonging in the minds of the students and every one cherishes the moments they worked and studied together in the Canara Educational Institutions founded by a great man - Sri. Ammembal Subbarao Pai.
I am delighted to inform you that the management of Canara High School Association has recently started “Canara Institutions Alumni Association”.  The sole purpose of the Alumni Association is to seek the advice of alumni of the Canara Institutions to carry out various developmental activities for the overall progress of the institutions.     
Alumni are the strength of any institution.  The footprints left behind by the students who have passed successfully are embedded eternally in the functioning of the institution and do not get washed away by the waves of time.
Being alumni of the ‘Canara’ we are proud of you and expect that you would definitely like to see your alma mater as a centre of excellence in education.   Our task is not only enhancing value of education, but also creating the well being of the society, as it is a commitment of Canara family to integrity, diversity, and service to humanity.  The Alumni Association is the proper platform to meet alumni of our institutions and exchange their views on various developmental activities and seek their support by all means for the great task.  As our alumni, we honor your service and commitment to your alma mater.  You, Alumni embody the legacy of this 118 year old institution, and our current students respectfully adopt the traditions of excellence to which you have contributed.
Mr. Jayawanth Kamath – Co-coordinator of the Alumni Association has done a wonderful job.  Due to his untiring efforts the membership of the Association has almost reached 1000 within a very short time. I feel that this is reasonably a positive response to his appeal.  While thanking all those members who have already registered, I request them to act as catalysts.  I look forward to support from all of them to keep the momentum going on the registration drive.  Please socialize the Alumni registration & participation initiative with your other Alumni contacts.  Compared to the vast number of alumni spread all over the globe the membership must reach five figure soon, if not six.
I would like to see more of our alumni actively engaged in strengthening your Canara group of educational institutions.

  Dear Friend,
            Welcome to the website of Canara Institutions Alumni Association. The need for this association was long-felt by many in the Canara High School Association.  Apart from raising the awareness about their Alma Mater, the forum would do the following:

1. Increase interaction between alumni spread in many areas of the world.
2. Strengthen and/or re-establish the links of alumni with CHS Association and among the Alumni.
3. Invite suggestions periodically from the Alumni.
4. Collect, periodically publish and distribute information regarding write-ups     on individual alumnus/alumna, the progress of CIAA.
5. Arrange public lectures by eminent alumni.
6. Organize a World Convention of all Alumni when there is sufficient membership.

  To accomplish all the objectives we need your active cooperation and sustained participation and interaction.  I   hope you have already registered your name on line.   Kindly forward this website address to other Alumni known to   you, whom we might not have been able to contact and request them to enroll as Members.
