Born in the year 1936 Dr. U.S. Mohandas Nayak is an alumnus of Canara High School. He secured his B.D.S. degree from Madras University during the year 1959.
Thereafter he worked as a Dental Surgeon at Govt. Wenlock Hospital with the collateral appointment as Reader in dental department of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore till 1974. As an active Member of Indian Dental Association he has served as Secretary & President of the I.D.A. Dakshina Kannada Branch, as founder Secretary and later as President of – Karnataka Branch of I.D.A. He was the National president of I.D.A. during the year 1992 – 1993. In recognition of service rendered to the professional field he was conferred with “Life Time Achievement Award” during the 61st All India Conference of Indian Dental Association held at Mangalore during January 2008. He has served as a member of Dental Council of India, a policy forming body constituted by the Govt. of India from 1984 to 1993. He is a recipient of district level “Karnataka Rajyothsava Award” for meritorious service rendered in the fields of Health, Social Service and Education.
He has served the Managing Committee of Canara High School Association for the past 18 years and at present heading the institution as the President.

Born on 5th December 1934, Mr. Ganesh Rao is an alumnus of Canara High School, Urva. After graduating from St. Aloysius College in commerce during the year 1954, he joined Canara Bank as probationary officer. He has held key positions in the bank such as Divisional Manager, Asst. General Manager, Deputy General Manager and retired as General Manager during the year 1994. While he has in charge of the International Division of the Bank between 1984 and 1988 he has established important links with several foreign bank/institutions, raising the foreign exchange business of the bank considerably. He is widely traveled.
He is serving in the Managing Committee of CHS Association from the year 1991.
